July 2010

The John Randolph Foundation awards Gateway Homes a $20,000 grant to cover a portion of the cost of care given to mentally ill residents admitted from the John Randolph Foundation service area.

June 2010

The Robert G. Cabell, III and Maude Morgan Cabell Foundation has awarded Gateway Homes a $50,000 grant to be used toward the replacement of vehicles in our transportation fleet.

May 2010

Residents of Gateway Homes participated in the Banana Box Project with Church of the Epiphany located in Richmond, VA.  Residents volunteered their time to assist in filling 450 banana boxes with clothes, school supplies, medicine, books, and more, that were then delivered to a parish in Bull Savannah, Jamaica.

March 2010

The Annabella R. Jenkins Foundation of The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia awarded Gateway Homes a $60,000 grant, continuing their support of our efforts to provide our clients with the means to make a successful transition to living independently.

In a ceremony at Center Stage on March 31st, Gateway Homes Board President, Dr. Ronald Forbes, was presented with a check.

The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors recognized Gateway Homes for “its exemplary efforts in the fight against mental illness” at its monthly Board of Supervisors meeting. Daniel Herr, Gateway Homes Executive Director, was presented with a plaque noting the qualities and acheivements that made Gateway Homes deserving of this honor.

September 2009

The Voices for Virginia’s Children along with Mental Health of Virginia, National Alliance for Mental Illness, the Virginia Association of Community Service Boards, and others honored Gateway Homes Treatment Staff with “The Heroes in the Fight” Award for providing “exemplary care and dedication to those affected by severe and persistent mental illness”.
