Support
Each of Gateway's levels of care cost just a fraction of what it would in either a state or private hospital. However, nearly 40 percent of the annual operating budget must come from private or community sources. Therefore, Gateway must increasingly look to corporations, foundations, religious institutions, civic groups and individuals to help fund its transitional living program.

Contributions
There are several ways to help Gateway meet its financial and program goals. Gifts of cash or stock, future or planned giving options, on-line giving, in-kind giving, or a gift from a Virginia business or individual through the Neighborhood Assistance Program are some of the many ways you can contribute. Gateway relies on more than 500 dedicated supporters and volunteers each year to meet its operating needs.

Volunteering
Volunteers from churches and civic organizations are valued at Gateway all year for a multitude of activities. Being involved in social activities and developing relationships with community volunteers is an important part of residents' treatment.

To find out more about the many ways you can help, call Gateway's administrative office at (804) 285-4389.
